Because our services involve scheduled time with professional tutors, our refund policy differs from traditional product returns. This policy applies to all tutoring sessions, packages, and educational services offered by Phelarynphepon.
2. Session Cancellation and Rescheduling
We offer flexible cancellation options based on advance notice:
24+ Hours Notice
Full credit applied to your account or session can be rescheduled at no charge. No questions asked.
12-24 Hours Notice
50% credit applied to your account. The remaining 50% is forfeited to compensate the tutor for reserved time.
Less Than 12 Hours Notice
Full session fee is forfeited. No credit or refund available due to the tutor's inability to fill the time slot.
Emergency Situations
We understand that emergencies happen. Medical emergencies, family crises, or unforeseen circumstances will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us as soon as possible with documentation if applicable.
3. Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund under the following circumstances:
- First Session Guarantee: If you're not satisfied after your first session, notify us within 24 hours for a full refund
- Service Failure: If we fail to provide the scheduled tutoring session
- Technical Issues: If technical problems on our end prevent session delivery
- Unused Package Sessions: Partial refunds available for unused sessions in prepaid packages (see Section 5)
Refunds are NOT available for:
- Sessions attended (beyond the first session guarantee)
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice)
- No-shows or missed appointments
- Technical issues on the student's end
- Dissatisfaction with academic outcomes or grades
- Changes in personal circumstances after sessions have been used
4. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

Please note that depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
5. Prepaid Package Refunds
If you've purchased a prepaid session package and wish to discontinue services:

Within 14 Days of Purchase: Full refund for unused sessions (minus any sessions already completed at standard rates)

After 14 Days: Refund calculated at 80% of the unused session value (to account for package discounts received)

After 50% Package Use: No refunds available; remaining sessions can be transferred to another student with approval
Example Calculation:
If you purchased a 10-session package for $500 ($50/session with package discount), used 3 sessions, and request a refund after 20 days:
• Sessions used: 3 × $60 (standard rate) = $180
• Unused sessions: 7 × $50 (package rate) × 80% = $280
• Total Refund: $280
6. Account Credits
In many cases, we may offer account credit as an alternative to refunds:
- Credits never expire and remain in your account indefinitely
- Credits can be used for any future tutoring services
- Credits can be transferred to family members upon request
- Credit balances can be viewed in your account dashboard
Account credits offer greater flexibility than refunds and can be applied to different subjects or tutors as your needs change.
7. Tutor-Initiated Cancellations
If a tutor needs to cancel a scheduled session:
- You will be notified as early as possible
- Full credit will be applied to your account
- We will work with you to reschedule at your earliest convenience
- If rescheduling isn't possible, a full refund will be issued
We strive to maintain consistency and rarely need to cancel sessions. Your time is valuable, and we treat it as such.
8. Our Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our tutoring services. While we cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes, we guarantee that:
- All tutors are qualified and experienced in their subject areas
- Sessions will be conducted professionally and punctually
- We will work with you to address any concerns about tutor fit or teaching approach
- Your first session is risk-free under our First Session Guarantee
If you're not satisfied with your tutor, we're happy to match you with a different educator at no additional charge.
9. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision or have concerns about our policy:
